History

In 1946, George J. and Dorothy J. Treutelaar founded Great Lakes Plumbing and Heating Company on the northwest side of Chicago. They lived above the shop so they could invest their time and resources into the business.

That investment allowed us to work on some of the most significant construction projects in the Midwest. And what better way to share our company’s history then in pictures of a few of those projects.
